Test a webhook without building a receiver

Create a temporary capture URL, point your webhook sender at it, and retrieve requests as JSON. No Centrali account required.

text
POST /capture/<capture-token>
Content-Type: application/json
{ "example": "hello" }

Play is an API; the preview above is an example. Use curl or your own viewer to read captures.

1. Create a session

Save the returned id, captureUrl, readToken, and expiresAt.

bash
curl -X POST https://play.centrali.io/sessions

2. Send a test request

Replace <captureUrl> with the URL returned above, or use it as your webhook destination.

bash
curl -X POST "<captureUrl>" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
--data '{"example":"hello"}'

3. Read captured events

Use the separate read token. Response bodies are base64 encoded; nextCursor lets you fetch newer events.

bash
curl "https://play.centrali.io/sessions/<session-id>/events?after=0-0" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <read-token>"

Sessions expire after one hour by default. Capture bodies are limited to 64 KiB; only the latest 50 events are retained. Rate limits and shared capacity can temporarily restrict access.

Use synthetic test data. Keep capture URLs and read tokens private. Common credential headers are redacted, but request bodies are not scrubbed for secrets.
